A bank in the Republic of Croatia

  • Project: Connection of two computer centers

  • Summary: In cooperation with our local business partner for the Republic of Croatia we delivered a solution for the connection between the primary and secondary computer center of a Croatian bank. The connection allows the transfer of 8x 16Gb FC and 8 x 10Gb FE over one single optical fiber line. Doubling of the connection over a second separate optical fiber line ensures redundancy (diminishing the risk of connection failure) and aggregated transfer performance  (double transfer capacity).

Peter's Teleurh TELEKOMUNIKACIJSKI INŽENIRING IN TRGOVINA LJUBLJANA, d.o.o.

  • Project:  A dedicated solution for needs of selected customers of a Service provider of optical infrastructure

  • Summary: The establishment of optical connections over a single optical fiber line, by means of which the service provider ensures his customers, a bank and the main civil airport, the needed optical connections. The system is ready for imminent connection of the planned ten times faster connections within the two organisations and to the outside international structures. The system design allows the simultaneous use of CWDM and DWDM, and is built around an active equipment XenOpt X-6500. The system is ready for further upgrades of communication services for both users and for an additional (future) customer.

Deželna banka Slovenije

  • Project: Connection of two computer centers

  • Summary: The solution is in function of ensuring resistance to fatal information services failures of the bank by implementation of the connection to the bank secondary computer center , which is provided by Pošta Slovenije, an infrastructure services provider. The solution combines data transfers using CWDM and DWDM over the same single optical fiber line, by means of  a single hybrid passive system.

Jožef Stefan Institute

  • Project: "The research and development equipment for the computer center"

  • Summary: Implementation of the entire compute cluster (HPC) project intended for use in the field of bio-medicine, pharmaceutical and environment research, as well as for the provision of general computing capacities in use of individual departments of the institute.

Telekom Slovenije

  • Project: Distribution of RTCM data of the SIGNAL network in real time, after a tender by The Ministry of the environment and spatial planning, The Surveying and mapping authority of the Republic of Slovenia.

  • Summary: Realization of the terrestrial coordinating system (ETRS89) and the access to it through the establishment of 16 permanently active GNSS stations called SIGNAL, ensuring correction signal RTCM for field geodetic measurements (the so called "active network"). Telekom and Xenya ensure the availability of data to the users via telephone dial lines and via internet.

RTV Slovenija

  • Project: Integration, delivery and implementation of the solution "The Video Production Archive Storage System"

  • Summary: The delivered system is used for cataloged ingestion of the video contents and the respective meta data, acquired from live feeds and from archives,  for the use in news room and documentary video editing. All the video contents is archived. The archive organisation hierarchy ensures any item to be stored according to the frequency of access and to the needed time to playout (robotized tape library - up to 20 seconds, disk array - in milliseconds).

  • User entity: Research department Centre for EXPERIMENTAL PARTICLE PHYSIC, Jožef Stefan Institute, in collaboration with the project ATLAS at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN

  • Project: Data storage system for storage and analysis of big data "Tier2"

  • Summary: delivery and upgrade of the storage system for big data "Tier2", of total capacity of 2,5PB. Analysis and simulations are performed on a computer cluster and serve as a basis for further practical experiments in LHC.
