Infortrend EonStor DS 1000

Infortrend presented a new disc storage system EonStor DS 1000. In relation to the recently intoduced system  EonStor DS 3060 the new system presents an attractive low cost solution.  EonStor DS 1000 brings full functionality where special functions and great extencibility  are not needed. It can be used as main storage system of an SMB company or secondary storage system featuring all the benefits of disc storage. EonStor DS 1000 is feature rich (local replication, snapshots, thin provisioning, remote replication storage tiering). Additional features:

• free AFRP (advanced field replacement part, subject to end user registration)
• 4 x 1Gb iSCSI host connectivity default + 8Gb/s or 16Gb/s Fibre Channel, 1Gb/s or 10Gb/s iSCSI, or 6Gb/s SAS connectivity optional
• hybrid trays included to accommodate 3.5″ or 2.5″ drives
• open HDD policy (HDD from various manufactures to be used; subject to compatibility list)
